Class B2's last lessons of the 2025/2026 school year took place in a joyful, warm atmosphere. Although the summer heat made itself felt both outside and within the school walls, there was no shortage of smiles, interesting conversations and time spent together.
The day began with a gathering in the Theatre Hall, during which the whole school community thanked the volunteers for their commitment, the time they had given and the heart they put into school life. Back in the classroom, it was time to reflect on the year drawing to a close: the pupils proudly recalled their successes and progress, as well as the events and lessons that had stayed with them most.
How to stay safe during the summer holidays
Next, the class talked about how to spend the holidays safely and responsibly. The discussion was very lively – several pupils told of their own cycling accidents. Their stories showed how serious the consequences of riding without a helmet can be: from painful bruises and cuts to head injuries. These moving accounts will serve as an important warning for the class.
The pupils also went over the rules for staying safe by water and in the woods, ways to protect themselves from insects, and what to do if they get lost. The slides included tips such as:
- sun cream, a cap and drinking water,
- swimming only in permitted places and always under adult supervision,
- insect repellent and checking your skin after a walk,
- having your parents' phone numbers with you and knowing the emergency number.
In the UK the emergency number is 999, but 112 – the number used throughout the European Union – also works there. The knowledge they have gained should help the children enjoy a happy and, above all, safe holiday.
A farewell reading
To finish, the pupils watched the final part of the screen adaptation of the set book ‘Nasza mama czarodziejka’ (Our Mum the Sorceress) by Joanna Papuzińska and listened to a story about the week Bolesław the Badger spent with one of the pupils.
