Where we help
Duty zones
Each parent on duty stays in their assigned zone and carries out the tasks given to them.
Small Playground
min. 5 people
Duty throughout the day. During breaks, parents spread out across the whole width of the playground, helping to maintain order and good behaviour. Accidents are reported in the first aid room. After breaks we tidy up; during lessons we patrol the area.
Large Playground
min. 5 people
Duty throughout the day, including outside break times. We keep an eye on order, safety and any unauthorised persons. In the event of an accident, we take the child to the first aid room. After breaks we put things back in order.
Main School Hall
min. 3 people
Two people supervise the corridors and toilets in the main hall; one in the second building. Rotation every 10 minutes. During breaks, children are outside, except when using the toilet, the library or seeing a teacher.
Reception at the main entrance
The other parents report to reception to be assigned tasks. All adults on the school premises wear identification badges issued at reception.

Each family carries out three duties in the school year — one in each term, according to the rota.
Teachers, teaching assistants, members of the Parents' Committee, the administrator, the treasurer and those working in the library are exempt from duties.
Dates are set by the person supervising the parent duty rota or by the headteacher.
Parents are notified of their duty date at least two weeks in advance.
Parents regularly check updates on the school website and messages sent by teachers, which give the duty dates.
In exceptional circumstances, an absence must be reported to the headteacher or administrator by phone or e-mail no later than 24 hours before the duty. At the same time, a make-up date must be given — no later than the second Saturday after the original date.
A duty can be exchanged for a £20 fee by informing the headteacher or administrator in writing at least two weeks before the date. This allows the school to arrange cover.
For each missed duty, the school charges the family a penalty of £50.
The penalty must be paid within two weeks of the date of the missed duty.
Failure to pay on time is treated in the same way as arrears in school fees and may result in the child or children being removed from the school roll.
