Before the end of the 2025/2026 school year, the pupils in one of our classes went over how to stay safe during the summer holidays. They worked on holiday topics in their worksheets, and a joint revision session helped them to remember the most important safety rules. Protecting yourself from the sun, swimming only where there are lifeguards and wearing a helmet when cycling are all things worth reminding children about before every summer break. It is also useful to know the emergency number 112, which works both in Poland and in Great Britain.
At the school assembly, thanks were given to the Committee and the assistants for their commitment, work and effort throughout the school year. The pupils also watched a lovely performance by the ‘Karolinka’ ensemble, in which no fewer than four pupils from class B1 dance. The dancers performed on stage in colourful folk costumes. We are very proud of them.
To finish, each pupil decorated their own eye mask, to help them sleep even better during the holidays. There were masks with flowers, stars, smiley faces and colourful patterns; some looked like cats' faces, others like brightly coloured glasses. A mask like this makes it easier to fall asleep on light summer evenings and mornings. Wearing their finished masks, the children lay down in a circle on the carpet – a holiday touch to end our year of learning together.
