This week I received three complaints from people living near the school. The matter concerns improper parking and parents of pupils at our school driving onto private property or grassed areas. I must admit that I am shocked, not so much by the failure to follow the rules as by the report that parents of our pupils have been arrogant towards property owners.

I ask the owners of the cars mentioned in the complaints to contact me at school without delay. I would also like to inform you that the complainants have the right to contact the Council to have a fine issued or the car clamped the next time it is parked improperly. I know from one telephone conversation that residents have asked for Council inspectors to be sent to the area around the school on Saturday morning.

I ask you to take this matter seriously.

Complaint no. 1

I live in Columbine Avenue and we are having issues with the parents dropping their children to your school on a Saturday.

They park wherever they want including on the grassed areas.

We have numbered resident parking bays and there is a sign stating that parking is for residents only.

On Saturday 12 th the driver of a BMW registration number YE16 FED parked in one of these bays my husband went out and asked him to move or said that he would report him to the school, he was very arrogant and said I can park wherever I want, go ahead report me.

We should not have to put up with this sort of behavior.

Please inform the parents that they cannot park wherever they want.

I would be interested in your view on this matter

Complaint no. 2

Thank you for seeing me at such short notice on Monday 14th November 2016.

There has been a prolific misuse of my parking bay by a family whose child attends the Polish school on Saturday’s. Despite my explanations to the parents concerned that the above address is privately owned by A2 Dominion Housing Association and not The London Borough of Croydon, they have continued to misuse the parking bay. I am sending a photograph of the vehicle concerned. Could the school kindly liaise with the Polish school and the parents concerned.

I look forward to a speedy resolution.

Kind Regards Felicia Amoye

Complaint no. 3 – information from the school's Business Manager

Hi Alison

Please see the email below that Regina Coeli received today.

This is not the same person who came into Regina Coeli Monday to make a complaint about the Polish School and the parking difficulties residents of Fenwick Place are experiencing.

Thanks

Nikki
