We would remind you that this Saturday our school is joining the British Children in Need appeal. We kindly ask both children and adults at the school that day to wear pyjamas or, like Pudsey Bear, to put on something spotty. Bows, bow ties, spots sewn onto sweatshirts – there is plenty to choose from and the choice is yours ☺
Please ask the children to bring a small amount of money for Children In Need. The Parents' Committee will collect donations in special tins.
I would also remind you that 19 November is the deadline for paying £4 for the children's St Nicholas' Day present. Children from outside the school (e.g. younger siblings) can also pay and meet St Nicholas on 3 December, but the contribution is then £8 (50% of the cost of the present is covered for our school's pupils by the Parents' Committee from the funds it has raised).
The present contribution is not compulsory, but if it is not paid by this Saturday, your child will not receive a present.
A competition organised by Ms Iwona Chrzan is under way. It is a translation project: translating a song from English into Polish (as far as you are able; a free translation is accepted). The deadline is 10 December. The project is not compulsory, but the best entry will win a prize. Here is a link to the song:

Thank you to all parents who conscientiously carry out their duties. The next duty falls to the parents of pupils in class B2, and on 3 December to the parents of pupils in class B1.
With warm regards

St Nicholas Needs Help 😉
On 3 December 2016 there will be a meeting with St Nicholas at school.
The Parents' Committee, which prepares the children's presents, has decided
that this year the St Nicholas' Day contribution will be £4 per child. The Parents' Committee will add the same amount for each child.
Presents are also available for children from outside the school, in which case the contribution is £8.
The contribution will be collected by the Committee's treasurer in the school café. Please pay the contribution on 12 or 19 November, as the Committee needs to order the presents and these two Saturdays are the last school days before 3 December, when the meeting with St Nicholas will take place. The contribution is not compulsory, but if it is not paid by the above date, your child will not receive a present.
