Dear Parents,
Thank you all for celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its Independence together with us! Thank you for buying national rosettes, for singing the anthem together, and for the emotion stirred in us by the wishes for Poland written by the children.
From the sale of rosettes we raised £292.08. Super! We will certainly spend it well and buy the resources the school is missing. Thank you!
This Saturday at 9:00, all interested parents are invited to the Theatre Hall for a meeting with Ms Kasia Davies. Ms Kasia will explain how to use natural essential oils simply and safely in every home; their use in natural medicine has been known for thousands of years. The main benefits of using essential oils are:
– Boosting the body's immunity – Improving respiratory function – Supporting calm and relaxing sleep – Relieving muscle and joint pain – Soothing migraines – Tackling digestive problems – Caring for emotional health – Replacing toxic cleaning products with natural solutions – Creating healthy recipes and delicious snacks
FREE ENTRY
Also on Saturday, as in previous years, our school will join the British fundraising campaign for disabled children and children in need of support – Children In Need. Its aims are somewhat similar to those of the Polish Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity). We ask all children to come to school in PYJAMAS, or alternatively they can wear ‘bear ears’, bows or spotty clothes, etc.
More information and inspiration can be found here: https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraisinghub Please ask the children to bring a small amount of money for Children In Need; we will collect it in a special tin received from the charity. We also encourage adults to join in, especially those who will be working on the school premises that day.
Due to the great interest in eurhythmics classes and violin lessons, I invite you to a meeting with Ms Joanna Strembicka this Saturday, i.e. 17 November, at 12:35 in the Pre-school room. The cost of the classes is £6, payable to the teacher in advance for the term.
During the meeting Ms Joanna will give you all the additional information you need.
I am also giving the correct email address, as an error crept into the previous correspondence: Joanna.Strembicka@stu.gsmd.ac.uk
On Saturday, parents of pupils in classes B1 and D1 are on duty; on 24 November, parents of pupils in classes B2 and C1. Please make sure you attend.
Warm regards
Irena Kukuła Headteacher
