Dear Parents,

This coming Saturday, 15 June, duty is covered by parents of pupils in classes C1 and C2; on 29 June by parents of pupils in classes E and Z1. Please do attend!

A week ago, a chess club session was due to take place for our pupils. Unfortunately, Mr Łukasz did not arrive, and the reason seems to have been a misunderstanding. Below you will find the e-mail I received from Mr Łukasz on Saturday, and my reply to it:

‘Good morning Ms Irena, I have just received a phone call from the Polish school. I was waiting for a confirmation with the address, but I did not receive one.

I was convinced that there were not yet enough children and that it might take a while longer. So we misunderstood each other, and I did not know that I was supposed to start the first lesson today. I am very sorry and I hope this will not cause any problems or further unpleasantness.

I will apologise to the parents personally. In that case, I will run the first lesson next week. Once again, my sincere apologies for the misunderstanding, and see you next Saturday. Kind regards, Łukasz

Good morning Mr Łukasz,

During our last telephone conversation we agreed that you would come to the school on 8 June and that the first session would take place then. For my part, I promised to take care of the publicity and sign-ups, and from you I received the plan for the first sessions. I sent you the school's address in an e-mail on 17 May. I do not know at what point the communication broke down.

I would therefore like to invite you again to the first session, this time on 15 June at 12:40. It will take place in the B2 classroom (ground-floor room). I will inform the parents. I can only hope that everyone who was interested will come again…

Warm regards, Irena Kukuła’

In view of the above, I INVITE parents and children AGAIN on 15 May at 12:40 to the B2 classroom for the first chess session. Thank you for your understanding, and I apologise for the inconvenience.

Thank you to all the parents who supported us by donating prizes for the raffle!

This coming Saturday, Family Day will take place in classes B1, D1, D2, D3 and F.
