Dear Parents,

My sincere thanks to everyone who came to the General Meeting of the School Council. It is a great pity that there were so few of us and that so few parents take an interest in what is happening at the school. The General Meeting is the most important meeting for parents in the whole school year.

Thank you to the outgoing Parents' Committee for the enormous amount of work they have done – for every minute devoted to the good of the school and our pupils. I also welcome those who wish to start working with us this school year. The work is hard, but it is rewarding! Truly!

This coming Saturday, 14 October, at 11:40, the Pupil Induction Ceremony (Pasowanie na Ucznia) for children in the A classes will take place. Parents of children in the A classes are warmly invited to this ceremony. We will meet in the gym (Large Hall). The entrance to the Large Hall is through the Main Entrance.

In our school calendar we have always had a free Saturday before and after half-term. This school year, exceptionally, it will be different in Term 1. We have to fit in with Purley Oaks and with the number of Saturdays we must teach in the school year. As a result, we will also be in school on 14 and 21 October. The free Saturdays will be 28 October and 4 November. We will meet again after the break on 11 November 2017.

We kindly ask parents to label children's belongings (clothes, pencil cases, lunchboxes) clearly with their first name and surname. This will help us find the owner of any lost property. Please also make sure your children have a packed lunch every Saturday.

On 14 October, duty is covered by parents of pupils in class C2; on 21 October by parents of pupils in class C1.

Warm regards
