Dear Parents,
On 11 December, parents of pupils in the GCSE and Zerówka classes are on duty. Please be there!
Last Saturday, St Nicholas visited our school. Thank you to the Parents' Committee for organising this event! It was brilliant! Among other things, the children received the school's anniversary T-shirts. If they wish, they may wear these T-shirts to school. Photos from the visit of St Nicholas are on the school's pages.
On Friday 3 December, a conference of headteachers of English schools was held regarding changes to how schools in the Croydon area operate during the pandemic.
As a result, we must comply with:
– the cancellation of joint gatherings inside the school building (assemblies, the Festive Day, etc.), – adults covering their mouth and nose in the school's shared areas (e.g. corridors), – children eating their meals in their own classrooms (for us, this has not changed since the start of the pandemic).
As every year, the last school Saturday before Christmas is our Festive Day. Unfortunately, because of Friday's changes, the celebrations will look different from usual. The children will have class Christmas Eve celebrations (Wigilia) rather than a whole-school one. However, we do not want to give up carol singing entirely, so it will certainly take place in some form.
Christmas table decorations, Christmas tree ornaments and Christmas cards will be on sale on the large playground. You can get in touch in advance about buying any of these items – elasiolkowska@yahoo.co.uk or 07714994093 – to place a specific order. If it rains, the stall will be at the exit doors of the Theatre Hall onto Bynes Road.
We are already at 70%! https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/polskaszkoacroydon-imfryderykachopina?utm_term=6ZkeDvXvg Would anyone else like to contribute?
