Good morning,

A warm welcome back to parents and pupils after the summer break!

We will all meet at school on Saturday 15 September at 9:00 on the school’s main inner playground. Lessons will run as normal on that day and will finish at 12:30. There will be no extra-curricular activities that day. Please make sure your children have lunch and water with them.

The entrance to the school will be signposted. It is located next to the entrance to the school car park (the main entrance gate to the school). We would also remind you that the school car park is for school staff only and that the road around the school is one-way.

As in English schools, pupils will line up in rows in the school playground next to their class teacher. The children and parents of all classes will then go to their classrooms for an information meeting with the class teachers.

From 9:35, parents will be able to meet the Headteacher, the school administrator and the leaders of the extra-curricular clubs in the Theatre Hall. This will also be an opportunity to hand in school ID cards, among other things. The school administrator will collect them on the Saturdays of 15–22 September. If you do not yet have one, please ask the school administrator for a form.

After lessons, at 12:45, an organisational meeting for parents of children preparing for First Holy Communion will be held in classroom B2 (entrance from the school’s main playground). We kindly ask all parents who have enrolled their child, or who would still like to do so, to attend.

The school runs the following extra-curricular clubs

Fees for extra-curricular activities are collected by the club leaders. Payment is required in advance for each term. All extra-curricular activities are run by professionally qualified people holding a DBS check certificate.

Depending on the activity, extra-curricular sessions for enrolled children start at around 12:40–12:45 and finish at around 13:30–13:45. Details are available from the instructors.

The school also offers consultations and support from a psychologist from the Stowarzyszenie Polskich Psychologów w Wielkiej Brytanii (Polish Psychologists’ Association in Great Britain). The appointment schedule will be available soon.

Please remember that school fees must be paid by 8 September. All the necessary information and amounts can be found on the page:

School Fees

Please note that, following the school’s conversion into a Limited Company, the school’s bank account for payments has changed. Payments to the old account number can be made only until December this year. If you have already paid into the previous account, there is no need to worry, but please remember that from January only the new account will be in use:

Lloyds Bank Sort code: 30-98-97 Acc number: 61176160

By decision of the School Board, Teaching Assistants are exempt from school fees in the 2018/2019 school year. This applies only to those Assistants who worked continuously (without a break) throughout the whole of the last school year.

I would also remind you that in the 2018/2019 school year each family is required to complete 3 duties.

  1. Teachers, assistants, members of the Parents’ Committee, the administrator, the treasurer and library staff are exempt from duties. 3. Duty dates are set by the person supervising the parent duty rota or by the Headteacher. 4. Parents are informed of their duty dates at least two weeks in advance (the beginning of the school year may be an exception). 5. Every parent is required to check the ‘information for parents’, which is published regularly on the school website and sent by e-mail by teachers, and which gives the duty dates. 6. Only in exceptional circumstances may a parent not attend a duty, but they must inform the Headteacher or the school administrator by e-mail or telephone at least 24 hours before the duty is due to start, and complete the duty on another date set by the Headteacher. Headteacher – psscroydon.kukula@gmail.com or i.kukula@polskaszkolacroydon.com Tel: 07587 743 423 Administrator: administrator@polskaszkolacroydon.com Tel: 074 27 54 70 20

  2. If a family fails to complete a duty, the school imposes a penalty of £50 for each missed duty. 8. The family must pay the penalty within two weeks of the date of the missed duty.

  3. Failure to pay the penalty for a missed duty on time will be treated in the same way as non-payment of school fees and may result in the child/children being removed from the school roll

The PARENT DUTY ROTA CALENDAR FOR THE 2018/2019 SCHOOL YEAR can be found here:

Please read it and mark the relevant dates in your diaries. Kind regards
