A special competition for a special anniversary – Narodowy Bank Polski (National Bank of Poland) invites entries to a competition to design a coin commemorating the centenary of Poland regaining its independence. The winner will receive 20,000 złoty and the chance for their idea to be used in the work on the coin, which will be issued in 2018.
– The graphic design of the coin should be clearly associated with the theme of the competition. The winner will receive a prize of 20,000 zł, and we are also planning a distinction and a special prize. Everyone can play a part in celebrating this anniversary, so significant in Polish history – says Prof. Adam Glapiński, President of Narodowy Bank Polski, encouraging people to take part.
The design of the obverse and reverse of the coin, with a face value of 10 zł, may be made using any technique. The NBP reserves the right to use the winning entry for the issue of a collector coin. Entries will be accepted until 14 June this year.
More information about the competition is available on the NBP website.
