We are very grateful to announce that our school has received a grant towards its rental costs from IRJP (Institute for the Development of the Polish Language) and the Stowarzyszenie ‘Wspólnota Polska’ (‘Polish Community’ Association). Thanks to this support, running the school will be easier and parents need not worry about fee increases.
Polish Saturday schooling has a long tradition in Great Britain, going back to the post-war emigration. Like many Polish Saturday schools in this country, our school holds its classes in rented premises, and rent is one of its regular costs. Polish community schools are funded largely by the fees paid by parents, which is why external funding matters so much to them and gives families greater predictability in the cost of their children's education.
This support allows us to focus on what matters most: teaching Polish language, history and culture. Every Saturday, children and young people learn with us – from the youngest classes to older students preparing for their GCSE and A-level exams in Polish. For children growing up in Great Britain, regular contact with the Polish language among their peers is one of the most effective ways of preserving the language and their ties with Polish culture.
The ‘Wspólnota Polska’ Association, founded in 1990, has for many years supported the Polish diaspora and Poles living abroad, including Polish education outside Poland. The support we have received has a real impact on our community – thank you very much.
Information about fees and other charges can be found on the Fees page.
