Our school's joint collection for the BBC Children in Need appeal raised £253.76. This is the achievement of the whole school community, which in autumn 2025 joined one of Britain's best-known charity campaigns for children.

BBC Children in Need is an annual appeal by the British public service broadcaster that has been running for more than forty years. It culminates in a November evening of programmes on the BBC, and its symbol is Pudsey Bear with his eye patch. The money raised goes to organisations and projects supporting disadvantaged children and young people across the United Kingdom. In many British schools, the appeal is a fixture of the autumn calendar, with pupils supporting it through small donations. Taking part in such a collection also has an educational dimension: children who are growing up in Britain and attending a Polish Saturday school can see for themselves that their community genuinely helps others.

Our special thanks go to Ms Bogusia D-Z. It was she who registered the school for the appeal, collected the money, counted it and paid it into the charity's account. This involved a great deal of work, and thanks to her commitment everything ran smoothly. Thank you, Ms Bogusia!

We would also like to thank everyone who supported the collection – pupils, parents and teachers. Every donation, however small, contributed to our shared total, which expresses our school community's solidarity with children of their own age who need support.
