St Nicholas' Day 2025 at the Polish school

St Nicholas' Day is an occasion to bring joy to others – with a small gift or simply with a show of warmth. That is exactly what Saturday at our school was like: Santa visited us accompanied by his elves, and the pupils received presents. In lessons, learning was interwoven with fun – children in Christmas jumpers and hats made decorations and wrote letters to Santa with the new ‘magic’ pens from the Polish school. In Poland, St Nicholas' Day (Mikołajki) is celebrated on 6 December, the feast of St Nicholas of Myra, a bishop renowned for his generosity to those in need.
