Dear Parents,
We have a festive gift for you and your children, prepared by Ms Ewa Zawół and the Zespół Pieśni i Tańca (ZPiT) ‘Karolinka’ (Song and Dance Ensemble). The first class, on Saturday 26 April 2025, will be free of charge. Both the first and subsequent classes will take place at our school, in the Theatre Hall.
Classes for children aged 5–8
Folk dance and singing classes are joyful, energetic sessions in which children discover the richness of Polish folk culture. Through play and movement, they learn traditional songs, dances and games from different regions of Poland.
The programme builds on children’s natural need at this age for movement, rhythm and expression. The children learn simple dance steps, rhythmic clapping games, counting rhymes and easy folk melodies. The relaxed, cheerful atmosphere helps them build self-confidence and develop motor coordination and a sense of rhythm. The classes also teach cooperation: the children work in a group, support one another and create something together. Learning is interwoven with play, so participants gain new skills and knowledge of Polish tradition naturally – through singing, dancing and the joy of being together.
Participants will have the opportunity to perform on stage at our school and beyond – at festivals and celebrations coordinated by the board of ZPiT ‘Karolinka’.
