You are warmly invited to our Saturday classes for children aged 5–8, led by Ms Ewa Zawół. They are designed for our youngest pupils who want to discover Polish folk culture through movement, song and play together.

The programme includes:

  • Polish folk dances,
  • traditional songs and games,
  • rhythm and teamwork,
  • discovering the beauty of folk costumes, melodies and traditions.

Polish folk dance is exceptionally rich. Alongside the five national dances – the polonaise, mazurka, krakowiak, kujawiak and oberek – almost every region has its own dances, songs and costumes. For children growing up in the United Kingdom, song and dance are a natural way to become familiar with the sound of Polish: rhythm and melody make it easier to remember words, and dancing together teaches attentiveness to others and cooperation.

The ‘Karolinka’ group performed on 4 May 2025 at the POSK Theatre in London during the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
