Dear Parents.

Today's message is rather long, so please bear with me….

In the second half of the term, duties fall to the parents of pupils in the following classes:

05/03/2022 F2 + C2

26 February is our school's Patron's Day. We have prepared a number of events for the children, but two of them are the most important:

From Ms Agnieszka Dewberry:

  1. Cover Chopin – cover up Frycek!!

In our next ‘10 on 10’ challenge, the classes will compete to see who can cover a portrait of our school's patron with 10p coins. We encourage you to start collecting now and to bring as many coins as possible on Saturday. Do take part in the challenge – and, as always, thank you for your support.

  1. Talent Festival.

32 pupils have signed up for this event. The children will show off their singing, musical, gymnastic and artistic skills.

We are delighted to announce that Cuddlesome has become the second sponsor of the Talent Festival. The company has decided to fund vouchers, which we will draw among the pupils taking part in the Festival. They are:

  1. A hoodie with an embroidered design,

  2. An embroidered towel set for the whole family,

  3. 5 prizes of one embroidered T-shirt each.

We are hugely grateful to Cuddlesome for supporting our event! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Do visit the company's website.

Extra-curricular activities resume from this Saturday.

We are still not permitted to allow parents/carers/visitors onto the school premises, except for those who work at the school or are directly involved in helping.

We have also received the following information from the charity East European Resource Centre, based at POSK (Polski Osrodek Spoleczno-Kulturalny – the Polish Social and Cultural Centre) in Hammersmith, with a request to share it with anyone interested:

‘We have been in touch with you before when organising information meetings and advice sessions, and about the services we offer to Polish people in London who find themselves in difficult circumstances.

All our services and advice are free of charge and in Polish. Among other things, we help people who have problems with benefits, housing, debt or immigration status, or who are victims of modern slavery, domestic violence or hate crime.

We also offer help to Polish people who feel lonely and isolated from others and would like to talk to someone friendly or meet other Polish people. This service is called Isolation and Community Support; through it we offer regular conversations with trained volunteers and the chance to take part in support groups where you can meet others in a similar situation – we currently run English lessons and walks.

This service is, of course, also free of charge and in Polish; it is funded by Imperial Health Charity and POSK.’

With warm regards
