Dear Parents,
Many thanks to everyone who helped us look after the children during Saturday’s trip!
We have two school Saturdays left 🙂
On 30 June, 10:00–12:00, parents are invited to a ‘swap meet’. The idea of the event is that we bring things we no longer need and take things that may be useful to us. We will be swapping accessories, books, clothes and other everyday items. Do join us at 10:00 in our Theatre Hall next to the Café.
If you would like to let us know that you will be coming, please sign up HERE
The duty on 30 June will be covered by the parents of pupils in the Pre-school and Zerówka 1.
7 July – END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. This day is different from usual; there are no regular lessons. Children come without exercise books or textbooks.
8:45–9:00 – pupils arrive at school, 9:00 – meeting in the classrooms for pupils and parents of the Pre-school, Zerówka 1, Zerówka 2 and Zerówka 3.
Pupils and parents then go to the family picnic.
9:00 – meeting in classes D, E1, E2, F, G and H. School reports are handed out in the classrooms. 9:35 – meeting in the sports hall for pupils and parents of classes D, E1, E2, F, G and H. Presentation of diplomas and awards for model reader and model pupil. Pupils and parents then go to the family picnic.
9:00 – meeting in the sports hall for pupils and parents of classes A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 and C3. Presentation of diplomas and awards for model reader and model pupil. Pupils and parents then go to their classrooms for the handing out of school reports.
10:00 – Official opening of the family picnic.
We warmly ask parents to bring all kinds of cakes and bakes to our BBQ for sale. We would also be grateful for vegetable and Greek salads (please bring the dressing separately). We know that without your help and commitment we will not be able to feed everyone 😉 We also know that so far we have always been able to count on your generosity and delicious home cooking. We are counting on your big hearts and support. Thank you!!!
One more very important matter concerning our BBQ. Unfortunately, on 7 July we cannot leave our rubbish in the Purley Oaks bins. Perhaps you know someone who works for a waste collection company? We would like to get in touch with someone who could drive up to the school before 14:00 and take away the few bags we will collect. Please contact us at info@polskaszkolacroydon.co.uk or i.kukula@polskaszkolacorydon.co.uk
I am delighted to share with you the news that from September a drama club will start at the school. It will be run by Ms Jolanta Janson, author of radio programmes, theatre and film scripts, articles and audiobooks. She is a committed creator and director of artistic, cultural and community events, as well as a presenter, actress, journalist, therapist, leader and theatre workshop trainer. Ms Jolanta will be at the school on 7 July. You will be able to talk to her and also sign your children up for the classes.
With warm regards
Irena Kukuła Headteacher
