Dear Parents,

On 26 November the parents of pupils in the A-level and E1 classes are on duty;

on 3 December the parents of pupils in class C.

Please do attend.

Thank you to everyone who did their bit for Children in Need. Thank you to Ms Bogusia, who ran the collection. This year we raised £363.41, €1, 5 cents and 40 groszy. The money will be paid into the bank for the charity, and the receipt will be available for parents to view at the Parents' Committee.

Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE! From next week, the school will be running a ‘square in a square’ raffle. Parents will be able to buy a ticket for £2 (in the café) and write their name in any box of the square. Once all the boxes are filled, the draw will take place. The main prize is one term's school fees for one child, paid by the Parents' Committee. All parents with children at our school may take part. We warmly encourage you – the prize is a free term!

The Parents' Committee will appear in today's message a few more times 😊 For the first time in many years, the Committee's funds will support St Nicholas 100%. This year parents will not need to contribute towards the children's presents, as they will be fully funded by the Committee 😊

So on 3 December we are expecting St Nicholas at school. It will also be Christmas Jumper Day. We encourage the children, if they wish and are able to, to wear Christmas jumpers, hats and any other festive accessories. There will be surprises and a chocolate fountain. It is a good idea for children to bring a little money so that, if they wish, they can buy a hot chocolate.

On 10 December, after the pandemic break, we will meet at school for our Festive Day. We are absolutely delighted! We ask parents to keep the date free and, if possible, to support us with cakes/biscuits (cakes, please, must already be cut into pieces). Please also remember that the school is ‘nut free’, so cakes must not contain, for example, nuts, almonds or Nutella. Thank you very much for your help and understanding.

Lessons start and finish as usual, 9:00–12:30. As part of the lessons, there will be carol singing together or a nativity play in the Theatre Hall.

The event has been divided into three groups:

Group I – 9:05–10:00 – Pre-school, Zerówka, classes A, B, C (6 classes in total) and parents with children in these classes,

Group II – 10:10–11:00 – classes D, E, F (5 classes in total) and parents with children in these classes,

Group III – 11:10–12:15 – classes JPJO G, GCSE, A-level (5 classes in total) and parents with children in these classes.

After each performance, parents are invited for barszcz (beetroot soup) with a croquette, coffee, tea and cake. There will be a Christmas raffle with prizes and face painting. Anyone interested in renting a table to sell their products is welcome to get in touch. Payment of £15 on 10 December.

After the food, pupils will return to their classrooms with their teacher for the rest of the lessons, and we ask parents to come back to school to collect their children at 12:30.

Warm regards

Irena Kukuła Headteacher
