Last Saturday our school was visited by the Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Mr Tomasz Balcerowski. He brought with him the pupil ID cards you have been waiting for for so long. Please check your child's details carefully and, should there be any errors, contact the Consulate directly.

A message from Mr Piotr Kośla – leader of the Gamers' Club
‘Dear Parents,
if your children enjoy having fun and are drawn to competition and to making contacts with Polish peers from around the world, this message is certainly for them.
We are looking for children aged 8 and over who would like to represent our School in next year's International Wojtek the Bear Tournament.
The Tournament takes place in 2 stages:
Stage 1 is the regional qualifiers, held online.
Stage 2 is the trip to the Tournament finals, held in Warsaw.
The competition is played by 3-person teams made up of a captain and an assistant (children) and a team supervisor (teacher).
The prize for teams that get through the regional rounds is a trip to the final Tournament, held in Warsaw. The stay of several days, combined with sightseeing in the capital and many other interesting events, is paid for in full by the organisers. Parents incur no costs.
Anyone who would like to get to know the Wojtek the Bear game is warmly invited this Saturday – 17 June at 12:30 – to a session at the Gamers' Club. Parents should collect their child from the classroom after lessons. I will be waiting for you on the large playground and will invite you, together with the children, to the JPJO Hall, where we will present the rules of the game. A week later we would like to hold qualifiers, during which we will select the groups. They will compete in the autumn rounds.
All further information and a report on this year's competition can be found in the attached links.

Yours respectfully
Piotr Kośla’
- Are any of you interested in singing in a choir? The Ave Verum Choir is looking for people who would like to join in an adventure in singing together. Below is a message from Ms Ewa Karpińska:
‘Dear fellow Poles!
We need you! We know that among you there are voices for singing, hearts that love what is beautiful, and the enthusiasm to do something truly noble.
Join our choir, which has been going for almost 25 years, has given many wonderful concerts (both in England and in Poland) and over the years has brought great joy to those listening (and to those watching our performances, because we look wonderful too). You can hear and see all of this on our website. Look for us at: Aveverum.org. Read about what we have done and where we have been … and imagine that you too could have such an adventure
The choir needs new voices! – yours! Rehearsals every Monday at 20:00 at the parish house of the Polish parish of Jezusa Miłosiernego (Divine Mercy), South Norwood)
You will find the address on our website.
See you soon!
We look forward to seeing you!’
With warm regards Irena Kukuła Headteacher
