Two errors crept into the previous notice, sent last week. The first concerned the absence of one school Saturday, on 2 December. Only now have we received confirmation from Purley Oaks Primary School that classes can take place on that day. This means that in December lessons will take place on 2 and 9 December.
The second error concerned payments. Please read the CORRECT amounts carefully. If you have already made a payment after receiving the previous message, please kindly adjust the amounts.
When enrolling your children at the school in May, you received a leaflet with the correct dates and fees. Recently, however, a great deal has changed, in terms of the timetable as well as the proposed after-school activities and school staff, hence all the confusion. I hope that a period of stability has finally arrived and that there will be no more such surprises. Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience and changes.
Fees: Preparation for First Holy Communion (for those interested): £5 per term (£15 per year)
The 1st instalment for the winter term (11 Saturdays in the term), payable by 9 September 2017, is: £110 – for the first child + a one-off fee of £20 for learning resources £88 – for the second child (total for two children per term: £198 + a one-off fee of £40 for learning resources) £77 – for the third and each subsequent child (total for three children per term: £275 + a one-off fee of £60 for learning resources)

Because teachers have moved away and returned to Poland, there will be no after-school drama and music classes this school year. There will also be no guitar lessons. Instead, we are offering you two new after-school activities (the other activities remain unchanged)
- Handicrafts – led by Ms Elżbieta Siółkowska
To begin with, crochet, tatting (decorative lace) and kanzashi – the art of making flowers from ribbons. Classes for children aged 10+, after lessons from 12:40–13:40. The price will depend on the number of children. For a small group of up to 5 – £10, over 5 – £8.

- Piano lessons with elements of music theory and ear training. An experienced teacher, Mr Adam Kozłowski. His own materials. A light and pleasant atmosphere. The opportunity to prepare for ABRSM exams and to arrange private lessons at home. Lessons will last 30 minutes, individual only, at a cost of £8 per 30 minutes. As I mentioned earlier, many pupils and their parents returned to Poland permanently during the summer holidays. Teachers have also been among those returning. Ms Agnieszka Tchórzewska and Ms Beata Rucińska have gone back to Poland. This week I also received the same news from Ms Sylwia Wołowiec. As a result, I am looking for a teacher for Zerówka 2.
