Dear Parents,

This coming Saturday will be the last one before the half-term break. Duty is covered by parents of pupils in classes A2 and F, and on 2 November by parents of pupils in class B1.

My sincere thanks to all the parents who came to the General Meeting of the School Council. Thank you to everyone who worked for the school with tremendous commitment during the last school year. I am also very glad that a new team of parents has come forward, willing to work with us in the 2019-2020 school year. I wish us all joy and satisfaction in our work for our pupils!

Last week I received sad news from Stowarzyszenie Polskich Psychologów w Wielkiej Brytanii (the Polish Psychologists' Association in the UK). Unfortunately, the project providing psychological support for children in Polish Saturday Schools has been suspended. You are welcome to book a consultation with a psychologist at POSK, Hammersmith. Ms Kaja Adamczewska, who has worked with us until now, is one of the psychologists offering consultations at the PPA's premises.

I have also received the following information from Ms Anna Jamrozik, a neurologopedist (speech and language therapist), which I include below:

Dear Parents

The speech and language screening at our school has been completed. Each child's level of communication has been assessed, and every child has received a written note for parents on the type of communication difficulty identified. If you would like your child to begin speech therapy, please let me know by e-mail (address below).

Please remember that speech therapy will be organised in groups or individually, depending on the type of difficulty, your decision and your child's level of concentration (group therapy does not suit everyone) 🙂

Payments:

– Therapy in groups of 2 (children with the same or a similar speech difficulty) – 40 minutes of direct work with the child, or 45 minutes including collecting the child from and returning them to the classroom. Fee: £15 per child.

-Individual therapy – 40 minutes of direct work with the child, or 45 minutes including collecting the child from and returning them to the classroom. Fee: £30.

Payments are made by bank transfer.
