Dear Parents,
On 9 November we invite the parents of pupils in classes B2 and E1 for duty, and on 16 November the parents of pupils in classes B3 and D2.
This Saturday we will meet with the children at our so-called Independence campfire. We ask that children come to school dressed in white and red, or in Polish regional costume, or bring with them items or accessories associated with Poland. Thank you!
For two more Saturdays (9/11 and 16/11), our competition for the most beautifully decorated Christmas jars filled with sweets (known as Sweet Jars or Candy Jars) will continue. From all the ‘sweet jars’ (which we ask you to bring to the school café – Theatre Hall), we will choose three and award them prizes. The prizes will be WHSmith vouchers, which Santa Claus will present to the winners in person. The ‘Sweet Jars’ will then be up for grabs in the raffle on Christmas Celebration Day.
Tickets to Santa's grotto are also on sale at the school café. Tickets cost £5 per child. If you have any questions, please contact the Chair of the Parents' Committee, Ms Dominika Gawaluch: rodzice.szkola.pl@gmail.com
On 16 November, as in previous years, our school will take part in the British fundraising campaign for disabled children and children in need of support – Children In Need. Its aims are somewhat similar to those of the Polish Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity). We ask that on 16 November all children come to school in PYJAMAS or, if they prefer, instead of pyjamas they can wear ‘teddy-bear ears’, bows, spotty clothes, etc.
More information and inspiration can be found here: https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraisinghub
We ask that on 16 November children bring a small amount of money for Children in Need; we will collect it in a special collection tin received from the charity. We also encourage adults to join in the pyjama campaign, especially those who will be working on the school premises that day
Warm regards
Irena Kukuła Headteacher
