Dear Parents,
We have started the second half of Term 1, which will end on 17 December. You will find the calendar of the remaining classes and the most important events below:
NOVEMBER 12 – 19 – Children in Need
DECEMBER 3 – meeting with St Nicholas 10 – 17 – School Christmas Day
On 19 November 2016, as last year, our school will take part in the British fundraising campaign for disabled children and children in need of support – Children In Need. Its aims are somewhat similar to those of the Polish Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity). Our school has registered to take part, and we will receive a so-called fundraising pack containing collection tins, stickers for the children, posters and so on. We ask that on 19 November all children come to school in their PYJAMAS 🙂 or they may wear ‘teddy bear ears’, bows, polka-dot bow ties and so on.
More information and inspiration can be found here: https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraisinghub
We ask that children bring a small amount of money for Children In Need. We also encourage adults to join in, especially those who will be working on the school premises that day. Remember – 19 November 2015 – Children in Need!! 🙂
A reminder that, under the agreement between Regina Coeli CP School and our school, there will be no lessons on Saturday 26 November 2016. They were not scheduled because Regina Coeli CP School is holding its Christmas Fair that day.
On 3 December 2016 the school will hold a meeting with St Nicholas. The Parents' Committee, which prepares the presents for the children, has decided that this year the St Nicholas' Day contribution will be £4 per child. Presents are also available for children from outside the school, in which case the contribution is £8.
The contributions will be collected by the Committee treasurer in the school café. Please pay the contribution on 12 or 19 November, as the Committee has to order the presents and these two Saturdays are the last school Saturdays before 3 December, the day of the meeting with St Nicholas. The contribution is not compulsory, but if it is not paid by the above date, your child will not receive a present.
Parent duties: 12 November – parents of pupils in class B3 19 November – parents of pupils in class B2
With warm regards Irena Kukuła, Headteacher
