Dear Parents,
This Saturday St Nicholas will visit our school with a sack of presents. We ask parents to support St Nicholas by paying £4 towards a Christmas present for the children to the ladies working in the library.
Also on Saturday, Ms Anna Jamrozik, a neurologopedist (speech therapist), will begin working at our school. Parents interested in FREE screening are invited to contact Ms Anna and to read her message.
Dear Parents
This Saturday, 1 December 2018, at 9:00 I will begin screening at our school to identify children in the so-called ‘risk group’. The screening is free of charge. If you would like your children to take part in the speech assessment, please let me know by e-mail (address below). After Saturday's meeting with parents, some of you expressed this wish by adding your children to the list. After the screening, children who qualify for speech therapy will receive written information from the speech therapist on the preliminary speech diagnosis, together with my contact details.
After that, speech therapy will be organised in groups or individually, depending on the type of disorder, your decision and your children's level of concentration (group therapy does not suit everyone)
Payments:
Therapy in groups of 3 (children with the same or a similar speech impediment) – 30 minutes of direct work with the child, 45 minutes including collecting the child from and taking them back to the classroom. Fee: £10 per child.
Individual therapy – 30 minutes of direct work with the child, 45 minutes including collecting the child from and taking them back to the classroom. Fee: £30. With best wishes, neurologopedist Anna Jamrozik, e-mail: annajamrozik5@wp.pl, phone: 07713 670710
Please note that, owing to low interest, there will be no eurhythmics classes at the school. However, violin lessons are starting. For information and to sign up, contact the teacher: Joanna.Strembicka@stu.gsmd.ac.uk
On 8 December the school will hold its Christmas Celebration Day. Lessons will start and finish as usual, i.e. 9:00–12:30. As part of the day, there will be carol singing together or a nativity play in the sports hall.
The event has been divided into three groups:
Group I – 9:05–10:00 – lesson 1 – Pre-school, Zerówka 1, Zerówka 2, classes A1, A2, A3 and parents with children in these classes,
Group II – 10:10–11:00 – classes B1, B2, C1, C2 – and parents with children in these classes,
Group III – 11:15–12:15 – classes D1, D2, D3, E, F, G, H, I, parents with children in these classes and parents whose children attend the drama workshops.
After each performance you will be able to buy cakes and Christmas table decorations. After sampling the food together with their parents, pupils will return to their classrooms with their teacher for the rest of the lessons, and we will ask parents to come back to collect their children at 12:30.
We kindly ask parents who would like to help us to bring in cakes on the morning of 8 December, which we could sell at the fair. Thank you very much!!!!
On the Christmas Celebration Day, 8 December 2018, there will be no after-school clubs on our school premises.
On 1 December, parents of pupils in classes C2 and G are on duty, and on 8 December, parents of Pre-school and class F pupils.
And a final message from our sponsor, the JUSTIN GREEN SHOP. We have been told that St Nicholas will visit the shop twice:
– 6 December (Thursday) in the afternoon, probably around 17:00 – 8 December (Saturday) – after our Christmas Celebration Day, i.e. around 12:45
All children and their parents are warmly invited!! With warm regards
Irena Kukuła
Headteacher
