Pupil induction ceremony in class A1 – 2024/2025 school year

In Polish schools, the pupil induction ceremony (pasowanie na ucznia) is the formal welcome of the youngest children into the pupil community; its symbol is often a touch on the child’s shoulder with a large pencil. In October 2024, the pupils of class A1 were inducted. On a stage decorated with the Polish flag and letters, the children, wearing red mortarboards and holding white and red flags, performed at the microphone and were inducted with a pencil tied with a white and red ribbon. It was a very special occasion: tears of emotion, stage fright, joy and shy glances were shared by the pupils as well as their parents and grandparents. We wish our new pupils every success in their Saturday Polish lessons.
