Dear Parents,
below is the most important organisational information.
The website and parent duties
At the time this message was sent, the school website was being rebuilt, and current information was being shared on the school's Facebook page and directly by class teachers. Thank you for your patience.
Sign-up for Term 1 duties took place via an online form. Each parent chooses one Saturday, although anyone who would like to be on duty more often is of course very welcome. The choice of date is yours, but a maximum of 16 people can sign up for any one Saturday. If you do not sign up, a duty date will be assigned to you, as before. If the date you have chosen turns out to be inconvenient, please e-mail the school administrator (administrator@polskaszkolacroydon.co.uk) – it will be possible to change the date. The duty schedule is available in the duty rota calendar.
School ID cards
Until Saturday 3 October 2026 the school was accepting applications and Polish diaspora pupil ID cards (legitymacje polonijne) for renewal. The key rules:
- The Consulate of the Republic of Poland issues ID cards to pupils once they have reached the age of 6.
- If the application is to renew an ID card (a pink card), please hand in the application together with the card.
- If the application is for a new ID card because the current one is white, please hand in the application only.
The old white ID cards are valid until 12 July 2027 – after that, the document is no longer valid. Application forms can be downloaded from the gov.pl website or obtained from the school administrator. They must be completed legibly, without crossings-out, signed by a parent and printed double-sided on a single sheet. Completed forms were collected by class teachers and the school administrator.
The school café and the General Meeting
Thanks to the commitment of parents from the Parents' Committee, the school café is open for pupils, parents on duty, and teachers and teaching assistants. It sells toasties, water, coffee, tea and juices, plus new extras every week. For safety reasons (the school is nut-free), the café is located in the Theatre Hall. Bread can also be bought in the school playground before and after classes.
The General Meeting of the School Council was scheduled for Saturday 10 October 2026 at 9:10 in the Theatre Hall. All parents and carers of pupils at our school are entitled to attend. At the meeting, reports on the school's educational, administrative and financial activities were to be presented, and a new Parents' Committee was to be chosen.
Warm regards
Irena Kukuła, Headteacher
