Information for Parents – 15 MARCH 2014
INFORMATION – 15 MARCH 2014
- As previously announced, this coming Saturday we will be welcoming the Trip theatre to the school with its performance ‘Na tropie zaginionej opowieści’ (‘On the Trail of the Lost Story’). Because the set needs to be installed in the school hall, parents of:
a. Pre-school children and classes A1, A2, B and C1 – bring their children DIRECTLY TO THEIR CLASSROOMS, via the playground.
b. Children from classes C2, D and E meet on the playground at the back of the school (roughly where the barbecue was during the July BBQ). At 8:55 they are collected by their form teacher and go with the teacher to their classroom.
The performance will begin at 10:00 and will last about an hour. Children are collected as usual at 12:30.
Children who attend after-school clubs will have their sessions as normal (if any of the clubs is cancelled, you will be notified by e-mail. All 4 after-school clubs should take place on 15 March).
-
On Saturday we will be welcoming Ms Katarzyna Franas to the school – a graduate of the postgraduate programme in teaching Polish as a second language at the Jagiellonian University. Ms Kasia will visit class E with a multimedia presentation on the part played by Poles in the Battle of Britain.
-
We kindly ask you to provide your children with a lunch for their time at Saturday school. Last week we had more than a dozen pupils without a packed lunch!
-
We are URGENTLY looking for a teaching assistant for class A2. If you are interested in working with us, or know suitable people for this position, please contact the headteacher.
-
We would also like to remind you about the school library! Ms Ania misses seeing the children come in, talk about books, borrow new ones and return old ones…
-
Our school will be taking part in the art competition ‘A to historia! Co było, kiedy mnie jeszcze nie było?’ (‘That's History! What Was There Before I Was Born?’). Our participants will compete in all three age categories. Please read the competition rules, as we will refer to them in future notices.
We are currently waiting for the books that Office PlayMedia are to deliver to us so that we can get the competition under way.
