Dear Parents,
A reminder that, because of half-term, there will be no lessons on the next two Saturdays. We will meet again on 25 February. We wish all staff, parents and children a good rest! And to keep that rest active, we suggest taking part in the library competition organised by the librarians at our school. Information about it is below:
Warm greetings!!! As every year, our school is holding a library competition. We would like to warmly encourage and persuade our little ones to take part in it. The competition has been divided into two age groups:
-
The first group is classes P, Z, A, B, and their task is to create their own cover for one of the books/poems listed below: a. Peter Pan b. Alice in Wonderland c. the poem ‘Lokomotywa’ (‘The Locomotive’)
-
The second age group is classes C, D, E, F, G, and their tasks are: a. to write a poem with an illustration for it b. to design a 3D mask of their favourite book character c. MIX Hero – which simply means combining the three best traits of their favourite book characters to create a single one 🙂 Each child chooses one task from their age group; any style and technique may be used.
Given the wide age range in the groups above, entries will be judged in four age categories. Group I: classes P1,P2,Z1,Z2
Group II: classes A1,A2,B1,B2,B3
Group III: classes C,D1,D2
Group IV: classes E,F,G
Let your imagination run free and have fun!!! We encourage all our children and young people to take part in the competition, because there is a lot to compete for!!!! The prizes will be vouchers worth £30, £20 and £10 for Toys RUs, a shop that is very popular with children, and since our older pupils, i.e. classes E, F, G, don't necessarily play with toys 😉, we have prepared a cash prize of the same value for this group.
Please hand in entries, labelled with the child's first name, surname and class, to the library by 4 March 2017. We wish all the children a pleasant break and fruitful ideas.
