Dear Parents!
We have had a very busy Saturday. To mark Patron's Day, a Talent Festival was held, with 76 of our pupils taking part. The children played instruments, danced, sang, recited poems and spoke in regional dialect. They also showed off their sporting skills and artistic talents. Thank you all for taking part! Thank you to Ms Iwona Chrzan and Mr Radek Mierzejewski for preparing and running the Festival, to Ms Stefania Wojciechowska for making the banner, to Mr Sebastian Buczek for making the certificates and to Mr Łukasz Oleksy for helping to buy the prizes for the children.
Pupils from our oldest class met the director Krzysztof Zanussi at the Embassy. The director talked about his family, his Italian roots and – of course – his films. He also spoke about how his family experiences and multicultural background have influenced his artistic work.
This Saturday is Book Day at our school, celebrated as part of International Book Week. Should the children dress up as their favourite book character? Or perhaps bring a pillow and a blanket for lying down and reading together? Teachers will write to you about how the day will look in your child's class.
For Book Day we will be welcoming Ms Paulina Sekuła to the school; she will be selling books from the publishers Dwie Siostry, Media Rodzina and Nasza Księgarnia in the Theatre Hall. Do come and browse and buy some books!
Please also remember the Easter Fair.
Our Easter sale begins at 8:45 in the Theatre Hall. You will be able to buy Easter decorations (table arrangements, Easter palms) made by Ms Elżbieta Siółkowska, who runs the handicraft club at our school. There will also be children's tents and soft Easter gifts sewn by Ms Ela Buczek (pictured above). Do come and buy!!
From 12:00 to 16:00 you are warmly invited to the Easter Fair at the JUSTIN GREEN shop, 279 Brighton Road, South Croydon.
At the fair we will be selling Easter cards and table arrangements made by our pupils. We still encourage you to help the children prepare Easter cards and decorations that we can sell at the fair. In this way we want to raise money to support the work of our school. In addition, Justin Green is offering:
