Dear Parents,
Starting from this coming Saturday, i.e. 7 January 2017, children will be admitted to their classrooms from 8:45 (this applies to all pupils whose classrooms are entered directly from the playground). We would also like to introduce this arrangement for classes taught on the upper floors of the building. However, not all classes have teaching assistants, and on Saturday we will be discussing how to resolve this. We would like all parents to be able, from 14 January, to bring their child and leave them in the classroom earlier than before. We hope that staggered drop-off times will make it easier for you to park near the school.
At the same time, I must inform you that parents who repeatedly break the rules and put the school's good name at risk may face consequences, up to and including the removal of their child from the school roll.
I am delighted to inform the School Board and all parents that we have succeeded in obtaining financial support from the ‘Wspólnota Polska’ Association (Association of the Polish Community)…
I would also like to remind you that the payment deadline for Term 2 was 31 December 2016. Parents who have not yet paid are asked to settle the amount due:
The second instalment, for the spring term (10 Saturdays in the term), due by 31 December 2016, is:
£90 – for the first child £70 – for the second child (two children in total for the term: £160) £60 – for the third and each subsequent child (three children in total for the term: £220)
January classes cover the following Saturdays and events: 7/01 – 14/01 – teachers' report on your child's progress, 21/01 – 28/01 – carnival ball (details soon)
I would also like to remind you of parents' duty obligations:
7 January – parents of Zerówka 2 pupils 14 January – parents of Zerówka 1 pupils 21 January – parents of Pre-school 1 + Pre-school 2 pupils 28 January – parents of pupils in Class G + D2 The full duty rota was sent to you in September. Please check your duty dates and make sure you attend. Your presence is essential to keep the children safe at school. In accordance with the School Regulations, if a family fails to carry out a duty, the school imposes a penalty of £50 for each missed duty. The family must pay the penalty within two weeks of the date of the missed duty. Failure to pay for a missed duty on time will be treated in the same way as non-payment of school fees and may result in the removal of the child/children from the school roll.
Finally, one more piece of sad news, which is also a request. On 19 December 2016 I received another message from the Business Manager of Regina Coeli about parents from our school breaking parking rules. I am very sorry that this has happened yet again… The Polish School is something we all share. I fear that situations like this may affect the cooperation between our schools and, ultimately, lead to changes to or termination of the contract….
I therefore urge you to park only in designated places.
If you have any questions or anything is unclear, please contact me.
Below you will find the complaint we received.
‘Once again we have come in this morning to complaints from residents both via email and in person. I know I asked you last time to address this but it is now becoming untenable. I would like to bring to your attention point 14 of our Lettings Agreement.
- The hirer is responsible for the prevention of disorderly behaviour so as to ensure that no nuisance or annoyance is caused to other users of the Regina Coeli School facilities, users of the school, or residents of the area surrounding the Regina Coeli School facilities.
For the remaining time left on this let we need to work together to ensure that complaints from residents, staff and the local community are addressed as a matter of urgency.
Regards
Alison Cunnife, Business Manager’
‘Hi
I have again had to confront people parked in bays, on double yellow lines and across drives today.
I am now going to take all the information and pass to local MP for the area.
I think the issues has not been addressed and someone from the school should be here to monitor on a Saturday. I will also be contacting Orbit housing as their residents also they also have issues regarding your parents /visitors to Regina Coeli School
I doubt you will even reply, because thats how disrespectful you are to the community around you. You show you do not care.
Lisa Broderick’
With warm regards
Irena Kukuła, Headteacher
