Dear Parents,
In every culture, Christmas is associated with many beautiful traditions and customs. Among them are the nativity play and singing carols together. On 8 December, our pupils brought us into the festive spirit: together with their teachers, they prepared performances recalling the events of more than two thousand years ago, when an extraordinary Child was born in Bethlehem.
After the nativity plays we had the chance to taste festive dishes. Thank you to the Parents' Committee for all the work they put into preparing our Festive Day! Thank you also to all the parents and carers who brought their home baking for the Festive Day. Thank you very much! The Parents' Committee raised £885.15. That is a huge amount! Thanks to it, we will be able to organise further school events and buy books for the children at the end of the school year. Thank you!!!
This brings Term 1 to a close, although it seems only yesterday that we were enjoying the hot summer…. We will see you back at school after the Christmas break on 12 January 2019 at 9:00.
What is coming up in January?
– 19 January, 12:30 – a meeting with Prince Jan Żyliński. Theatre hall, free admission. We warmly invite parents and children to this meeting with a very interesting and controversial figure. As a child, Mr Jan Żyliński attended a Polish Saturday School; as an adult, he became known, among other things, for challenging Nigel Farage to a duel. For many years, Prince Żyliński has been promoting Polish heritage in the British Isles. He will certainly have a great deal to say to children and parents alike. Do join us!!!

– 26 January – carnival ball. More information in the January notices.
We wish you all a beautiful Christmas! Peace, love and joy. May the birth of Jesus be not merely a remembrance, but a conviction that He who was born is with us. He has the power to resolve what is humanly impossible to resolve. May He support you, your plans and your dreams in the New Year, 2019.
On behalf of all the staff
